For forty-four years I've carried a lasting memory of Jack and his willingness to help many inexperienced business professionals begin their career. To me...Jack was a role model of a Sales Representative at an impressionable time when their was an absence of role models. He lent a helping hand in so many different ways both professionally and personally that truly made him one of a kind!

Every time Jack called our house and if I answered the phone, he would ask me what I was reading. He loved to hear me talk about books. He and Kenny went on many a boys’ ski trip, they went to Alaska together to fish, and they played a lot of golf.
We just returned from Jack’s lovely memorial service and people were joking about his frugality. He may not have spent a lot of money but he spent a lot of time w/ people. He was also patient. He helped Kenny learn to fly fish. He watched our two children grow up. He helped our daughter, Courtney, w/ her tennis game. He came to our son, Brad’s, soccer games.
We and all the CB family will miss Jack.

Dear Rosemary, Scott, Jeff, and Jennifer.
Jack will be missed by us - so much fun to be around. Still remember the ribbing he received about being unwilling to replace his old Mustang-good decision.
Rosemary, our deepest sympathies go out to you and your entire family.

I am so sorry to hear that “Gentleman Jack” Bentley has passed away. Jack was such a friendly and thoughtful man. Jack always had a big smile and a positive attitude. He loved his family, IBM and the Navy. He served all three in an exemplary manner. It was a real pleasure to have known and worked with him at IBM. My condolences go out to the entire Bentley family.
