Joe was a positive influence in my earlier years and helped me resolve various high school projects that befuddled me at the time.
Joe taught me how to drive. His patience, good humor
and
exceptionally good teaching skills gave me the confidence and determination to acquire my drivers license.
I will always remember his quick smile and his ability to make me laugh during dark times.
My prayers are with his family and friends.

Joe Zillner was one of the best people to work for. He became my boss back in the 80's and was a big part of my success at Rohr/Goodrich. He was fun to be around and was always willing to help people advance. Joe will be missed by many people who also knew him outside of work.
Joe was a great guy.

We spent many hours with Joe and his family when all our children were small. They were times of warmth and great fun. For a man of his considerable intelligence and skills, he was a very modest person. Our deepest sympathy to his family.

My fondest memory of Joe was his visits to the Publications Department where he had his Engineering Reports published and printed. He wanted to know who else was in line and how his reports could be expedited...then he'd ask who had some candy. Always cheerful and the consumate gentleman, Joe was a pleasure to work with. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I went to work for Rohr in 1967, and Joe was my Group Engineer. It was a pleasure working for Joe and he made work enjoyable. As our careers went their separate ways, we managed to periodically stay in touch until his retirement. As Don Roth says, He was a genuinely good guy. He will be missed.

Joe was one of the first people I worked with when I joined the Rohr Test Lab in 1973. He was a genuinely good guy and one of my early mentors. He will be missed.
