Well, I'm real late with this... I have been thinking about Kathy and Art all day, since I learned that Kathy was gone.
I don't know why I never thought to get on Kathy's FB page... I hadn't heard from her for quite awhile but we didn't really "write" or "call" more than a couple of times a year. So many memories flashed back to me when Art told me she was gone. Kathy and I met way back in the San Diego Federal days and have kept
in touch off and on all these years. I guess I thought it was odd I hadn't heard
from her or seen any pictures from her for awhile... but brushed it off. Well,
to you Art... we are sorry for your loss and wish you the best. Funny how you don't realize how much someone has touched your life until they are gone.

It seems you only truly meet a few great friends in life, for life. Kathy was one that I met while we both worked at San Diego Federal. You were gone in the Navy most of that time. We have always stayed in contact and email and facebook had renewed our friendship in the last few years. I know that your lose is immeasurable. I just know she is smiling down upon you. Art, you may not remember me, but we owned Nana and Paw Paw's Comfy Kitchen in Jamul, back in the 80s. I saw Kathy a few weeks ago at the Chinese buffet in RSD, but didn't say hi because she was with friends. I'm sorry that I didn't.
