LAVERNA CHASE DOLLARHIDE Obituary

CHASE DOLLARHIDE, LAVERNA HELEN February 11, 1929 to August 29, 2010 LaVerna Helen Chase Dollarhide passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on August 29, 2010, with family by her side. She was the youngest of three children born to Clifford and Dorothy Groves in Meadville, PA. In her teens, the family moved to Pasadena, CA where she completed her education. During her working career she worked for several newspapers, for Palomar College and the Fallbrook School District. LaVerna was predeceased by her parents, husbands Roger McCalmont, Albert Duncan, Gene Chase, brother Gordon Groves, daughter JoAnn Harris. LaVerna is survived by husband Tom Dollarhide, son Robert McCalmont, daughters Janet (George) Beauchamp, Judy Duncan, Grandson Robert Pillow, sister Betty (Paul) Martin. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to: Rancho Bueno Vista Adobe, 600 Eucalyptus Vista, CA, a local animal shelter, or do an act of random kindness to a total stranger. Memorial Service to be held at 1:30 p.m. on October 9, 2010 at the Bonsall Community Church, 31542 Old River Road, Bonsall.
