MARCUS E. THOMPSON

THOMPSON, MARCUS E. May 20,1932 to October 14, 2010 Marcus(Mike)Thompson, also known as "Santa", born to the parents of Ralph and Bertha Thompson, in Georgetown, Ill, entered the gates of Heaven. He was a longtime resident of El Cajon, CA. where he attended Gateway Church. He was a member of Local 89 Laborers' Union of San Diego, for 50 years,various capacities. He was an active member of the "Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas". Marcus the yougest of 7 brothers, and 3 sisters, with one brother surviving him, Leroy Thompson. He was married to his beautiful wife of 50 years, Peggy, who preceded him in death. He was the father of 4 children, daughter and husband, Patricia and Charlie Hendrix, Carol and Herb Gullingsrud, Dawn (Miranda) and Tolly Pinkston, and adopted daughter GeniDeWeese. Preceded in death by son Michael and granddaughter Andrea. Grand father to 15, and great greatfather to 29, with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be on Friday, October 22, 2010, at 2:00, at Gateway Church, 1290 N Johnson Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020.
