Matt,
After all these years, I am finally posting here. I cannot express how very much it pains me that I can't pick up the phone and reach out to you. You were such a huge part of my life in San Diego. Having only moved out there the previous year, you took me by the hand and showed me "the ropes". Helped me break away from work and enjoy life. The fun times were endless with you Matt. How could I ever forget any of it. It was nothing short of a joy to spend time with you. The fishing charter in these photos was just one of those incredibly fun times. You calling me up and telling me you were coming to pick me up but not telling me where we were going because you wanted it to be a surprise. All our trips to the casino, the the beach, the massive Halloween party at that doctors house in Coronado (I am still trying to find the photos from that day). Remember, you wanted to be a ballerina so I made you a tutu and I was Sheena the tribal warrior? LOL The park concerts in Coronado, the comedy shows, and our infamous biking adventures all over San Diego bay. The memories with you are still so fresh in my mind. I hope you are driving your jeep in heaven and having a great time. I shall see you down the road...
All my love,
Mary

My sincerest condolences. I had a best friend Matthew Slatin when I lived in Rochdale Village, Queens, NY in the 70s. Probably born in 1959. I assume this is him, but let me know if you can. He was a dear friend, and we shared our love of music, from Broadway to the Partridge Family.

A beloved friend for twenty five years, nearly half our lives, I find it incomprehensible that you are gone. We talked about how we'd both live into our 90's! Know you were loved, are loved, and will always remain in our hearts. I have no doubt you are still among us, perhaps but on a different plane. Still, I miss you on this one. Till we meet again, my friend…...I love you, Nancy

Happy Birthday Matt. There isn't a day that goes by now that I don't think about. We shared so many good times together, and some tough times too, ever since we became friends 20 years ago. I hope that you are at peace now, and that we will meet again when my time comes to leave this place. I love and miss you Bro!
