Matt and I grew up on the same street and even though we ended up in related work careers we never crossed paths again. I did however hear great things about him from mutual colleagues. I'm sure he will be missed. My condolences go out to his family.

Matt was a dedicated friend and support of us musicians in the early '80's. Along with fixing the gear he would often fix our mood. One of the few people that brings a smile to those who talk about him. My sincere sympathy goes out to Matt's family, RIP Matt from Toss as well...

I've known Matt for many years…I worked with him at Centro Corporation back when I first moved to San Diego in '86. Matt was always ready to lend me a hand or an ear, and always had a smile for me. I wish I had had an opportunity to see and talk to Matt before he passed away. He will be missed.

Matt was one of a kind. I learned a lot from him. Matt was my co-worker, my sounding board, my #1 fishing buddy and my best friend. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace, buddy.

To Matt's Family... My sincere sympathy. I never met Matt, but have know his sister LaDonna for many years. When life seems to be cut short it is the heart breaking reminder to live, laugh, and love everyday as we have no crystal ball to know when it is our time. It sounds like Matt was a loving man and will be missed deeply by his family and friends. A big hug to LaDonna, Nick and Ashley my heart goes out to you and the rest of your family.

Matt was a gift to me. I inherited him as a friend when I married his best buddy, Skip. At our wedding Matt offered to let me shove cake in his face. He was that kind of a friend. Skip and I will miss him so.

Good times growing up with Matt. He and my brother Randy were good friends. From riding bikes, to motorcycles. Thanks for memories.

Matt, you were the best of friends! We always had fun at work and at play. You showed us all, that life can be full of wonderment and adventure. You were truly a man of many talents; kind and generous to all you met. I really miss you.
