NIAMH POWNALL Memoriam

POWNALL, NIAMH Aug. 7, 1989 to Nov. 16, 2008 If tears could wash away our pain, We would not feel such hurt again, The heartbreak felt since you've been gone, We try to bear and carry on. You went away so suddenly, We did not say goodbye, But we can never be parted, Precious memories never die, So we'll have to be brave, And accept God's taken what first He gave. From your heartbroken Mam and Dad and brother David

I can not believe it's been 15 years.
I think about her all the time.
I have a photo of her in my closet so she can help me get ready for the day. Firstly, because she had an amazing sense of fashion and secondly, and most importantly, the way she presented herself to the world which such kindness, compassion, and humor. She was truly loved by all.
If you knew her- you were he friend, if you were her friend- you were family.

I don't know your family, but was also touched by your grief and Niamh's beautiful, smiling face. I cut out the memorial you posted to show my girls and warn about the dangers of speeding, driving...and the pain of her family. I found the photo on my desk today and just wanted to write a note...that a stranger is so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Sincerely, Lorie Zapf, San Diego

I saw the picture of your beatiful angle Niamh and your note of sorrow and grief in today's paper. I do not know any of you but I can share your feeling and how much you miss her. It is over 6 years that my father passed on at age 86 and I see him everyday on my mind. Think of Niamh as being on vacation in a far land as if she is alive, as she is in your mind. With a lovely name like Niamh and the term "mam" in today's paper, I know there is an Irish influence here. My heart goes out to your family. I don't know your family, but this touched me. Ta bron orm.

Frank, Gerry and David,

Britt and I brought fresh cut flowers and rang the wind chimes on the trees in memory of our much missed and dearest Niamh. We think of you all very often and the many great times we had. We feel very blessed to have had Niamh in our lives for the time we did . . . Our prayers and thoughts are still with you, Love The Greenhalgh Family

Niamh was a student in my Human Physiology class at Grossmont High School and I was so shocked by her passing. She was a beautiful young lady in spirit and emotion as well in her physical presence. My prayers will always be with her and with her family still here with us. She was such a bright light...

Sincerely, Judd Hulbert
