OREE CHESTNUTT

CHESTNUTT, OREE July 17, 1942 to Sept. 22, 2010 Oree, an actor in early westerns such as Gunsmoke as well as a ventriloquism enthusiast, has died of a heart attack. Born in Louisiana, Oree grew up in a Christian family. He played guitar and loved to dance, and did ventriloquism shows with his wife Betty. He lived all over the United States, but spent most of his time in San Diego, and Hollywood, working for religious entertainment company Mad Dog Productions. Oree is survived by his wife Betty, who holds Oree in the highest regard. A devout Christian and loved by all that knew him, Oree will be extremely missed. We take comfort in knowing that his soul now rests with the Lord. Memorial service Wednesday, October 20th, at 2 p.m at First Presbyterian Church Chapel.
