I'm very sorry that I was not able to attend Paul's service as I just now found out about his passing. I worked with Paul for many years, and for several of those years he was my immediate manager. He was a very special person, and a very gentle soul. I always held a very deep respect for him.

Dearest Higashi Family,
Paul's recent passing has saddened us deeply. We enjoyed knowing him and other family members through our Manic Mondays bowling league. He was always such a pleasure to be with...a real gentleman.
Knowing that he was the Patriarch of such a kind and loving family is a comfort to those who knew him.
We are grateful for his patriotic service to our country and offer our most sincere sympathies to you all. We will be unable to attend the memorial service, but please know you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I extend my sympathy to your family. I grew up hearing my father speak very fondly of Mr. Higashi. As I remember they ran track together at Santa Ana High School. He must have been a great man! Sincerely, Brian K. Jones

I was deeply saddened when I heard of Paul's death. I didn't know him well, but he made a very positive impression on me. The family and life that he and Gay created is a wonderful legacy. My deepest sympathy to his loved ones.

My sincere condolences to your family. Although I never met Paul, my father (George Platt, Jr) was a lifetime friend of his, and always spoke so highly of him. I'm sure they are in Heaven signing up for a tee time right now.
