Over the years I shared many a lunch table in the PSNB lunchroom at the Main Branch with Mr. Gordon as he came to town from the Island and he shared many early memories with us. Joe Hawthorne always bragged at being the oldest living PSNB retired employee, but he always said he was second behind Bob Gordon. I can see them now, Bob Gordon,Sr., Joe Hawthorne, Rich Odlin, Dick Turback, Ken Platzer, Bob Hall, Neal Heston, Virgil Wilhelmi, Jim Gribbon, Laz Politakis, John Fry and Ralph Hubbard rushing to make the miracle of all loans to bail out the country before the November elections! It's sad, but I bet you can count on your hand the number of employees at the bank who remember Bob Gordon today...they're all over at Columbia. May the Lord comfort Bob Gordon's family and friends with His assurance that He will bring us all together again. Hi, Bob, Jr...Blessings.
