ROBERT BULICK Obituary

BULICK, ROBERT MERLE September 17, 1923 to December 18, 2010 Bob was born Sept. 17, 1923 in Juniata, Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of 8 children born to John Wesley Bulick and Vinetta Houck Bulick. He entered into eternal life on December 18, 2010 at the age of 87 after years of living with Alzheimer's Disease. He had a blessed and happy life with Phyllis Norris Bulick, his wife of 63 years! Bob and Phyllis met and were married in Altoona, Pa., on May 10, 1947 after Bob returned there from serving the Navy in San Diego until the end of the war. They had two daughters Shirley Ann Bulick born 1948 and Donna Lou Bulick born 1949. They moved their family to Manhattan Beach, Calif., in 1953 where they lived for 8 years. In 1960 they moved to San Diego where Bob and Phyllis lived for 48 years raising their 2 daughters and Bob retired from General Dynamics after 25 years. They were very active in the GD Lapidary Rock Hounds Club. They loved traveling the country in their motor home and touched every state. They also traveled with friends to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland and England. They moved to Livermore, Calif., in Sept. 2007 to be closer to family. Bob is survived by his wife Phyllis, 2 daughters Shirley and Donna, 2 grandchildren Karey Anderson Finn and Ryan Ivar Anderson, and 6 great grandchildren - Sarah, Shaun, Devin and Kelli Finn and Ainsley and Aliana Anderson. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 5 sisters - Earl, Clair, Relda, Jean, Maribelle, Geraldine and Velda. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Livermore on Wednesday, December 29th, at 11 a.m. Donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association at: http://www.alz.org

We had such fun at all the Happy Hours in the driveway, garage sales, and any other excuse for a good time. Bob was always a star with his funny stories and information about "rocks". Missed you both when you moved, but will cherish the memories of the good times.
