My uncle Rodger's stories about his "adventures" as a Navy man on the USS Wasp are brought up often by his grand-nephews, Jack and Adam Burnside, who want to follow in his footsteps and work on an aircraft carrier. We also loved spending Christmases with Uncle Rodger and looked forward to his lively spirit and enjoyment of silly gifts and good food. He also was the only person we've ever met that could "play" a cat (Pooh) like an accordion! He will be heartily missed by us.

To the family and friends of Rodger; Please know Rodger is still with us in spirit and memory. His intellect and sence of humor were truly one of a kind. We spent many enjoyable times listening to Rodger's version of some routine aspect of life that only Rodger could spin into a story worthy of a spot on 'Saturday Night Live'.
