RODNEY WAUFLE Obituary

WAUFLE, RODNEY S. January 28, 1928 to Oct. 10, 2010 Rod was born to Jason and Freida Waufle in Fort Plain, NY. He served with the 1st Marine Div in China during World War II. A longtime resident of Vista, Rod was a founding member of the Vista Boys & Girls Club in 1963. He retired after 32 years of service as a local officer with the San Diego County Sheriff's department. Rod was a loving husband to his wife Victoria, and father to his children Jeff (Cathy), Christy, Jason and Tony. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan (Jennifer), Chris and AJ, and great-grandchildren Kalah and Nolan. A Celebration of Life ceremony and luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church, 700 E. Bobier Drive, Vista, CA 92084. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Vista, 410 W. California Avenue, Vista, CA 92083, (760) 724-6606.
