RONALD FRANCIS Obituary

FRANCIS, RONALD COLIN June 29, 1928 to October 4, 2010 Captain Ron Francis, son of Luis and Marie Francis passed away October 4th. As a young man he and his father owned and operated a commercial fish boat, the Ronnie F, out of San Pedro. During his last 38 years he was Captain of a private yacht out of Oceanside Harbor. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing and hunting from Alaska to Baja and as far away as New Zealand. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Myrtal Francis; his daughters, Sue Hand-Cutler of Long Beach; Carol Shedarowich of Irvine and Lynda Larimore of Irvine. He had eight grandchildren and twelve great-grand-children with one on the way. He will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever will be our Captain.

As a kid I was in awe of all the shark Jaws hanging on the walls of Uncle Ron's garage.
I think about Ron every time we go to the Harbor.

Ronnie you will be missed so much by your best friend of over 50 years, we have had a lot of fun together hunting and fishing all over Calif. and Mexico. Everytime I look out my patio door I will always think of you, in all the Plumeria plants you have given to myself and my wife Lydia. We both love you very much and will see you when our time is up here. Roger Parsons
