ROSE TANCORRA Obituary

TANCORRA, ROSE DeTURI Nov. 25, 1917 to Dec. 9, 2010 Rose was a native San Diegan. She graduated from SD High School and resided in La Mesa since 1944. She owned and operated the Mart Cleaners in La Mesa with partner and son-in-law until retirement in 1985. Preceded in death by husband Danny, brothers Mike and Roy, and sister Lena. Survived by son Pat and daughter Rose Valenti (Ed), sister Mary Asaro, three granddaughters Gloria Gerak (Ronald), Jacki Crandall (K.C.), and Krista Fordyce (Brian), 7 great-grandchildren, David, Alex, Christopher, Taylor, Justine, Kyle, Kyra, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, whom she loved so much. She always thought of everyone first. Rosary and Funeral Mass on Monday, December 13, at 10 a.m. Guardian Angels, Santee. Reception at Guardian Angels following interment at Holy Cross.

I worked for Rose at the Mart Cleaners many years ago. She was a wonderful lady and I feel privileged to have known her. My condolences to her family.

Rose was a dear customer of mine at JoJo's Hairstyling for a long time. She always talked about her family, she loved them so much. I will miss so much, she was such a lovely person. My deepest sympathy to her family.
