Sam now is at peace and is well. He is up with Betty and 42 other Helix classmates,and Family and Friends.

I met Sam in the Coast Guard Reserves Coastal forces program when we were sent to the Marine Corp for training, in 1964. His humor kept a smile on my face all the time we spent together. It turned out we knew a lot of the same people around San Diego. Im very sad to read todays paper about Sam. Especiality since he tried to get in touch with me aboutfour or five years ago. When I called his office some how I couldn't get through. Best Wishes to his family and close friends. He was a wonderful person. Vernon Bowman Ret. San Diego Police Dept.

Once again my heart is aching for you. Having known the Matson Clan since the early 50's, it has been a fun family to have known and laughed with. Lot's of memories.
