SAMUEL WHITE Obituary

WHITE Jr., SAMUEL ROBERT February 24, 1935 to Oct. 2, 2010 Sam White was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming on February 24, 1935. He passed away October 2, 2010 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Sam moved to San Diego when he was 18 years old to join the U.S. Navy. He became a San Diego Firefighter in 1963 and retired after 30 years of service in 1993. Sam has been a long standing member of The Elks, Moose and VFW. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeri (Lakeside); son, Sam White (Las Vegas); daughter, Debbie White Clapp (Alpine); grandchildren, Tiffany White Nesteby, Sam White III, Desirae Clapp and Austin Clapp. Sam is preceded in death by his son, Steve White (formerly Spring Valley). Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010, 2 p.m. at Santee/Lakeside Elks Lodge.
