Dear Kathy and family,
We am truly sorry for your loss. Each and everyday,we have been praying for God's strength and healing to begin for you and your family.
Also, Steve's memorial service was one of the most beautiful and touching services I have ever attended. After the service, I felt like I really knew who your husband and father was. How blessed all of you were to have each other and all the wonderful memories.

To the Kakacek family my deepest condolences at this time in your lives. I worked with Steve from 1974 at SDSU, he was a good friend and helped everyone who needed it. Family was first no matter what. Steve when we meet again, I hope we pick up where we left off as friends. You will always be in my thoughts.

My deepest condolences to the Kakacek family. Steve was a wonderful, caring person, a great man who loved his family and friends more than anything. I remember the pride he expressed whenever he would talk about his family and especially his grandchildren; they were without a doubt his greatest joy! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

I have found memories of serving with Steve in Scouting at both the Cub Scout and Boy Scout levels. He was also a great friend and neighbor. He will be missed in this life, but we will all see him again. Jack Wurtz

We came to know Jackie through our daughter Amy and Junior Achievement. Jackie came to Iowa to visit in the winter once and between the snow ball fights and sledding, we came to know her love and respect for her parents. We kept up with any news of her dad with Amy and always asked Amy to tell Jackie we are thinking of them. We are deeply saddened for their loss and will keep them in our prayers.
