We were so saddened to hear of Susan's passing. May you find comfort in knowing she had such an impact on everyone's life. I remember when we were small and she had such an expressive happiness about her, full of smiles and laughter. When she came back to visit and we all went to Boston, it was a magical time with her, everything being an adventure.
When we reconnected again three years ago, I was glad to see that she never changed, being so fun to be with. She will truly be missed by all of us.
Our prayers are with you at this time.

I had the pleasure of working with Susan for the past few years at Vista Grande. She comforted me when my own son was going through his chemotherapy for Leukemia. She confided with me about her own battles with the disease. We had a lot in common and I could always count on her to make me laugh. She was an original. She didn't sugar-coat anything and was one of those real and honest individuals. She was always a breath of fresh air in a stuffy room. I will miss her dearly.

Susan was a wonderful, caring, and strong individual. Even though I didn't get much opportunity to work directly with her, Susan was always very supportive of me both personally and professionally. I was always grateful when I had the opportunity to sit with her at professional development meetings, because her sense of humor helped to keep me awake. Her students loved her, and so did her coworkers at Vista Grande. She was a great friend, and I will miss her tremendously. Peace and love to her family.
