TIMOTHY NGUYEN Obituary
NGUYEN, TIMOTHY JOHN Timothy John Nguyen, 4 years old, passed away on October 5, 2010, after a courageous battle with an inoperable brain tumor. He was born on January 19, 2006, in San Diego, CA. Timothy was the beloved son of John and Tricia Nguyen, and the loving baby brother of Justin Nguyen. Timothy lived a full life and attended preschool at the Eastlake Children's Center for two years. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 15th, at 11 a.m. at Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala Catholic Church, 10818 San Diego Mission Rd., San Diego, CA 92108. Reception immediately following in the La Sala Room. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable donations may be made to Rady Children's Hospital Foundation in Timothy's name. It's so easy to get caught up in our lives of work and scheduled leisure activities. Sometimes it takes a shocking moment to awaken us from the robotic rhythm of our daily lives.
The radio sings out "live like we're dying". Timothy and his family taught me what this means. In his mother's shared stories, loyalty, and fierce love...in his brother's bravery and friendship...in his father's tender words...I was reminded to appreciate every breath, to cherish the moment now, to be grateful and to smile more. Timothy's short life taught me to become a better mom, friend and wife. That's a priceless gift from a little boy with the "Don King" hair and big smile.

We are so sorry to to read about the passing of Timothy. My grandson Myles was enrolled in Tumbles with Timothy & also attends Eastlake Children's center where we would see Timothy in the halls. Having a 4year old child myself I cannot fathom the pain your family is going through. I followed Timothy's battle on Facebook and prayed for him and your family often.
