WILLIAM BAUGHN Obituary

BAUGHN, WILLIAM B. William B. Baughn, 86, a resident or San Bernardino for 12 years, died Friday, November 5, 2010, at Redlands Healthcare Center. He was born November 11, 1923, in Phoenix, Arizona. He served aboard the USS Arkansas in the South Pacific during World War II, where he earned a Purple Heart. He began his career with Bank of America as a teller and retired after 42 years of service as the Executive Vice-President of the Southern Division of Bank of America. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margie Baughn, of Highland; a daughter, M. Jean Snell of San Bernardino; a son, John C. Baughn of San Ramon; six grandchildren, Christa Young-blood, James Snell, John Snell, William Baughn, Amy Baughn Monasta, and Robert Baughn. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Brandon, Trevor, Rylie, Stephanie and Timothy and one great-great-grandson, Drake. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2010, 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 5:30 p.m., and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 10th, at 10:00 a.m., both at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Avenue. Graveside services will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Avenue, Culver City. Condolences may be sent on-line at www.bobbittchapel.com.
