WILLIAM SPECK Obituary

SPECK, WILLIAM (BILL) D. Dec. 6, 1928 to Dec. 23, 2010 William (Bill) D. Speck went to the Lord on December 23, 2010. He was born December 6, 1928 to Denton and Mary Jane Speck, in Springdale, AR. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 and after the war moved to San Diego. In 1958 he met his true love Elsie Adelle Evans, they married in 1960, and he was a wonderful father to Elsie's daughter, Paula. In the 1970s, Bill started an athletic reconditioning business, servicing sports equipment for local schools and the San Diego Chargers. He was an avid Bolts fan and a season tickets holder for over 30 years. He lived in Poway for 38 years. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Elsie, and family members across the U.S. A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Church, 13617 Midland Road, Poway, CA 92064 on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 3:00 p.m.

Bill was absolutley one of the greatest men i have known. He had a great sense of humor and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. A guy you could always count on. I will miss my Uncle Bill. RIP
