November 1, 2010

I met the Lancaster Family in1975 as a student at SDSU working parttime at Old Town Texaco. They invited me to come to work for them up the hill at their store, Old Town Liquor Deli. It was an iinvitation that would last 20 plus years. I worked for Bill until he sold the store in 1996. Working at the Lancaster Store for Bill is one of the all-time best memories of my life. He was a great guy to work for and he owned and was the general manager for THE BEST store of it's kind in all of San Diego. I will forever remember how likable, thoughtful, considerate and dedicated he was and how Bill's personal qualities and leadership made all of us happy and proud to work for him at his great store there in Old Town, San Diego. God Bless and Keep Bill, Barbara, Scott, Lori and the Lancaster Family. Thanks Bill, for everything. Gene and Linda Graham and Family.

Lori and Scott:
I was very sad to read about your dad's passing. What a great person and boss. He was my first employer in SD and I will always be indebted to him for giving me such a great job and treating me so well.
Please accept my condolences. He will be in my prayers.

We were classmates starting in elementary school at Warren Walker. I am saddened by this news. We shared many childhood memories of teachers and story times, and recess games in the school yard.
