ROBERT HENTHORN

HENTHORN, ROBERT Robert (Bob) Henthorn was born in Osborn, Ohio on April 20, 1928, and passed away quietly, surrounded by his family on October 1, 2009. Bob grew up in San Bernardino and graduated from San Bernardino High School, where he was a star athlete in baseball and basketball. He graduated from San Bernardino Valley College and later attended San Diego State, where he met his wife Barbara of 59 years. He enjoyed a successful career in the life insurance business. He was a longtime member and avid golfer at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino. Upon retirement, Bob and Barbara moved to Carlsbad, where they enjoyed golfing with friends at San Luis Rey Downs Golf Club. Bob is survived by his wife Barbara, three sons, Steve (Diane), Bruce (Stacy), and David (Laura); seven grand-children and one great-grand-child; and his pride and joy, Kayle their dog. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the home of Ed Illsley, 2633 Ocean Street, Carlsbad, CA on Friday, October 9, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Dr. H.
