Benjamin Blue Crowder
Benjamin Blue Crowder was born on Aug. 1, 2013, at 4:15 a.m. in Champaign/Urbana, Ill. His parents, Nicholas and Emily (Drury) Crowder, welcomed him with love. He weighed 7 lbs., 11.4 oz. and was 20 inches long.
Benjamin's family was blessed with 10 days of lullabies, kisses, hand holding, baths, breastfeeding, diaper changes, a first (temporary) tattoo and sweet nights with their little man before he passed away peacefully on Aug. 11, 2013, in his parents' arms surrounded by friends and family.
Benjamin is loved deeply and survived by his parents; his grandparents: Terri Crowder, Sparky Crowder, Phyllis Drury and Larry Drury; his great-grandfather, Robert Crowder; his aunts and uncles: Aaron and Jen (Espe) Crowder, Missy (Crowder) and Sean Whitley, Angela (Crowder) and Brad Darling, Sarah (Drury) and Jason Dothager, Paul and Sara (Fuller) Drury and Michael Drury; his cousins: Ayreanna and Cecilia Crowder, Kara and Alyson Whitley, Addison, Brennan and Caitlin Darling, Rowan, Maia, Lily and Vivienne Dothager, and Tristen and Cullen Drury; and many other friends and family.
We will always love and miss you, beautiful boy.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and other Pediatric Critical Care staff at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill., and Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Ill., for their efforts.
A celebration of Benjamin's life and casual friends and family potluck will be held at the Macoupin Club, Rinaker Road, Carlinville, IL on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m.

`Please remember that you will be able to raise your beautiful son in the resurection. That is a promise from Jehovah. I am unknown to you, but I wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss. I lost my first great grandson at 3 months and he was a 13 week early preemie. God bless you and your family, your littlest angel knows how much he is loved.
