RABACCHI, Marion R. - Auburn  
Marion R. Rabacchi AUBURN, IL - Marion R. Rabacchi, 68, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015, at his home. He was born June 6, 1946, in Mason, Ill., the son of Bennie and Virginia Wheeler Rabacchi. He married Donna Kay Hansen on April 5, 1968, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 3, 2012. Marion retired in 2014 from Dickey-john Corporation in Auburn. Surviving are two sons, Brian (companion, Bre) Rabacchi and Brad Rabacchi, both of Auburn; one brother, Larry (Cindy) Rabacchi of Buckner, Ill.; several brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn with Deacon Denny Baker officiating. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015, at St. Dennis Cemetery in Shipman, Ill. Memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society or The Animal Protective League. REUWER, Claire - Evansville  
Claire "Jim" Reuwer EVANSVILLE, IN - Claire "Jim" Reuwer, 93, of Evansville and formerly of Plainfield and Mendham, N.J., passed away May 23, 2015, at Evansville Protestant Home. Jim was born June 24, 1921, in Lewiston, Maine, to Dr. George and Claire (Nugent) O'Connell. She earned a degree in sociology from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Penn. In 1945 she married Henry T. Reuwer in Lewiston, Maine. Jim was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She was a member of the Spring Brook Country Club in New Jersey where she became an enthusiastic golfer. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Mendham, N.J., and Holy Rosary Parish in Evansville. She volunteered at Holy Rosary, was a member of the Holy Rosary Senior Club and a member of Saint Mary's Hospital Women's Auxiliary. Jim is survived by her daughters, Cathryn Wood of Springfield, Ill., and Claire (Michael) Mayers; son, Henry T. (Gretchen) Reuwer Jr. of Montville, Maine; grandson, Terrence (Melissa) Reuwer; granddaughter, Cathryn (Will) Gretler; and great-granddaughter, Fiona Gretler. She also survived by sister, Betty Bolduc of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years; her parents; her brothers, George O'Connell, Jr. and Richard A. O'Connell; a sister, Lucy O'Connell; and her son-in-law, Harlington Wood, Jr. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the staff of Evansville Protestant Home for the compassionate and loving care shown to Jim, and to the team of Gentiva Hospice during her final illness. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Rd., Evansville, IN, with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. Private burial will be at a later date at Hilltop Cemetery in Mendham, N.J. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of mass on Saturday at the church. RIEMAN, Ronald J. - Springfield  
Ronald J. Rieman SPRINGFIELD – Ronald J. Rieman, 70, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015, after a battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 2, 1944, to Herman and Rose T. (Kollar) Rieman. He married Janet Behen in Springfield on May 11, 1968. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Rieman. Ron was an engineer with the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. He was co-owner and operator of Gietl & Gietl Floor Covering. He was a carpenter and member of Carpenter's Local 16. He was a member of the DAV and American Legion Post 32. He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Jana (Dan) Scherf of Eagan, Minn.; son, Michael (Michelle) Rieman of Springfield; grandchildren, Kelsey Scherf, Kieran Rieman, Donald Scherf and Draven Rieman; brother, Bill (Donna) Rieman of Lincoln; sister, Jane (Robert) Day of California; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Annie "Anya" Rogovaya SPRINGFIELD, IL - Annie "Anya" Rogovaya, 78, of Springfield, died at 7:40 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born March 23, 1937, in Kiev, Ukraine, to Boris and Revekka Lubomirsky Rogovaya. She married Illya Zavelsky on July 28, 1961, and he preceded her in death in 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include one daughter, Tanya (Mark) Reeves of Springfield; one son, Alex (Julia) Zavesky of Springfield; and three grandchildren. Anya graduated from medical school in Kiev, Ukraine and has worked in medical research. She enjoyed traveling and various book clubs. No public services are planned. William "Bill" Edward Ray COLLINS, MS - William Edward Ray, born Jan. 4, 1930 in Altamont, Ill., to Jay and Mildred Ray, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, in Collins, Miss. He was 85 years old. Bill was a high school teacher and guidance counselor in Springfield, Ill., for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Collins United Methodist Church. Bill loved his family and enjoyed his time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Edith Mooney Ray; and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene Kerchner Ray; children: Trisha (Jeffrey) Coady of Springfield, Ill., William M. (Judy) Ray of Texas, Stephen Powers and Michael (Kim) Powers, both of Arkansas; grandchildren: Kyle (Leah) Coady, Katelyn Coady, Conner Coady and Jared Powers; and great-grandchildren: Molly Coady, Logan and Kathleen Powers. Services have been held.

Ophelia L. Richardson HICKORY, NC - Ophelia L. Richardson was born on April 7, 1928, and departed on May 5, 2015. She was born in Little Rock, Ark., to the late James S. Woodard and Timotheus Raynor Woodard. She was the oldest of five children. Ophelia was a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1959 and served as a fulltime evangelist for the last 25 years. The relatives and friends of Ophelia are invited to attend a memorial service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3076 Normandy Rd., Springfield, IL 62703 with Brother Paul E. Williams officiating. She is survived by one sister, El Dora Spencer of Little Rock, Ark.; children: Lindsey Hickman, Larry Rollen, Gary Rollen, Dace Richardson, Alanda Richardson Jackson, Tim Richardson, and Phyllis Fitzgerald; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean L. Robinson SPRINGFIELD, IL – Jean L. Robinson, 85, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at her home. She was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Montgomery, Ala., to George and Dennie (Vines) Johnson. She married Eugene Robinson, Jr., on June 1, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; son, Frederick Robinson in 2015; two sisters and four brothers. Jean was a teacher for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Springfield Education Association, Illinois Education Association, National Education Association and Lincoln Land Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, playing piano, attending the theatre and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Barron Robinson and Kirk (Renee) Robinson; daughter-in-law, Marion Robinson, all of Springfield; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
