BARBEE, Harold E. - Springfield  
ALMA, AR - Harold E. Barbee, 74, died August 24, 2015, in his home. He was born November 21, 1940, in Springfield, Ill. He was retired from Central Illinois Light Company and was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Heissinger Barbee of the home, two daughters, DeAnna Derr and husband, David, of Childress, Texas, Victoria Kockler and husband, Curtis, of Minnestrista, Minn.; two sons, Mark Barbee and wife, Laurie, of Gilbert, Ariz., Brian Barbee and wife, Melissa, of Rochester, Wash.; one brother, Charles Barbee and wife, Margaret, of Chanhassen, Minn., one sister, Debra Johnson and husband, Jeff, of Springfield, Ill.; ten grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Family-held Memorial Service will be at Merles Steak House at 215 W. Fork Street, Alma, AR, Friday, August 28, at 2 p.m. Please join us for a taste of Harold's favorite meal and we invite you to share your favorite memories. MEXICO, MO - James Matthew Bava, of Mexico, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at the age of 25. He was the beloved son of James and Alyce Bava; loving fiancé of Rose Sanders; dear brother of Joshua (Elizabeth) Bava, Katharine Bava, Alyssa Bava, and Renee (Matthew) Kunkel; cherished uncle of Nathan James Bava, Elena Bava, Hannah Kunkel, and Delaney Kunkel; treasured grandson of Mary Brindy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Maude Galletto, Tiofaro Galletto, and Dominic Bava. The family is being served by Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson St., St. Charles, MO where a visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015. BEHRENDS, Henry - Kincaid  
KINCAID, IL - Henry "Hank" Behrends, 87, of Kincaid, Ill., and formerly of the Peoria, Ill., area, passed away Aug. 31, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Peoria County to Edward and Lydia (Sutter) Behrends. He married Mary Jane Stauthammer on Aug. 12, 1950, in Pekin, Ill. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. In his younger years he helped his dad on the farm near Bartonville. Hank was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, Ill. He served with the 5th Army during the Korean War. He worked at Commonwealth Edison at Powerton in Pekin. In 1966 he transferred to their new plant at Kincaid. He retired in 1983 after 28 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and hunting mushrooms. He is survived by his wife; son, Tedd of Lincoln; Nancy (Dana) McKinney of Taylorville, and Dennis (Barb) of Kincaid; grandchildren: Heather Westrick, Destiny (Scott) Herpstreith, Holly (Jeremy) Orr, Jennifer (David) Wayman, Rachel (Heath) Cunningham, Brad (fiancée, Kayla Koehne) Behrends and Lisa Behrends. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Mallory and Macey Westrick, Dominic and Issac Orr, Laura, Julie and Matthew Wayman and Ava Herpstreith; sister Marg (Lou) Kirkham; sisters-in-law: Grace Durham, Ida Stauthammer, Pat Stauthammer, JoAnn Stauthammer and Sandy Behrends, all of the Peoria area; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in death by his parents; brothers, Bill and Gerald; and sister, Reaka. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1010 N. Webster St., Taylorville, IL with Pastor Rodney Bloomquist officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid, Ill., and also for one hour before the services at the church. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to: Trinity Lutheran Church, 1010 N. Webster St., Taylorville, IL 62568.

SPRINGFIELD, IL – Shirley Ellen Bramblett, 80, passed away Aug. 23, 2015, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1935, to Tura and Mildred Ellen (Shellhammer) Black. She married Glen Eldon Bramblett on June 7, 1952, at Elliot Avenue Baptist Church. Shirley was formerly employed by Sangamo Electric, Springfield Produce Company and Illinois Rate and Tariff Bureau. She was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church where she was active in Ladies Aid and FaHoCha. She is survived by her husband, Glen; sons: Glen Michael Bramblett, Gary Lee (Cindy) Bramblett and Kevin Eugene (Laurie) Bramblett; daughters, Linda Guffey, Lori Lynn (Steve) Zepp and Jo Deane (John) Prytherch; 30 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Dean (Robert) Alexander; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Elsie Bramblett; and grandsons: Shane Conkrite, John Conkrite and Gary William Bramblett. Memorial Gathering and Service: 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015, at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, with Pastor Cana Roth officiating.
