Evren Nicolas Alejandro Angulo INCIRLIK, TURKEY - Evren Nicolas Alejandro Angulo, of Incirlik, Turkey, the infant son of Sgt. Alex and Sgt. Genesia M. (Cook) Angulo, passed on Sunday, June 21, 2015, in Rhineland, Germany. In addition to his parents, Alex and Genesia, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, James A. and Paula A. Cook of Edinburg, Ill.; paternal grandparents, Jose' and Martha Angulo of Lake Worth, Fla.; brothers, Roman Manuel James Angulo and Mateo Ray David Angulo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A prayer service will be held at 4:45 p.m. prior to the visitation which will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville, Ill. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylorville with Father Mariadas Chatla officiating. Burial will at Edinburg Cemetery in Edinburg, Ill. Eunice I. Ashenfelter SPRINGFIELD, IL - Eunice I. Ashenfelter, 89, of Springfield, died at 6:23 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1926, in St. Mary's, W.V. She married Leo V. Ashenfelter on Aug. 31, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Karon (Ed) Kane of Herculaneum, Mo., and Jody Kuder of Odin; three sons: Michael (Kathy) Ashenfelter and Mark (Tina) Ashenfelter, both of Springfield, and John (Liane) Ashenfelter of Bloomington; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Sharon Jenkins; and one son-in-law, Richard Kuder. Eunice was a member of First Church of God. She retired from J.C.Penney as Assistant Manager of the Housewares Department. Private family services will be held. Gladys F. Ausmus SHERMAN, IL - Gladys Fern Ausmus, 80, of Sherman, formerly of Chatham, Ill., died at 11:48 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Villa East Healthcare in Sherman. She was born June 12, 1935, in Dixon, Ill., to Virgil and Amanda Hanson Garst. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Surviving are four daughters: Vickie Hoskins of Lanark, Ill., Sue (Jack) Larsen, Kim (Fred) Herr and Kathy (Michele) Ausmus, all of Springfield; two sons, Steven (Juleen) Fellows of Freeport, Ill., and William (Diane) Nickell of Thayer, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gladys worked as a tech at McFarland Zone Center for over 35 years. She loved her dogs and her family. She loved to paint and could fix anything with duct tape or superglue. BAER, Linda Sue - Beardstown  
Linda Sue Baer BEARDSTOWN, IL - Linda Sue Baer, 85, of Beardstown, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Heritage Health in Mt. Sterling, Ill. She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Beardstown, the daughter of Robert Bolling and Helen Sherman Adams. She married Bill Baer on Sept. 25, 1949, at First United Methodist Church in Beardstown, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2008. She is survived by her children, Jeff (wife, Cheryl) Baer of Beardstown, and Toni (husband, John) Musgrove of Girard; and four grandchildren: Will (wife, Abby) and Jessie Musgrove, and Chris and Phillip Baer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters: Roberta Ferris, Zola Mae Shane, and Alberta Lee Gramann; and one brother, Robert Bolling Adams, Jr. Sue graduated from Beardstown High School in the Class of 1948. Sue was a faithful and active member of First United Methodist Church in Beardstown, where she and her husband taught 2 and 3-year-old Sunday school for many years. She was also dedicated and devoted to Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, and the Prison Ministry. Sue led many members of the Beardstown area through Explorers Bible Study and Marriage Encounter. Sue encouraged all who crossed her path by helping them with their greatest needs. She thoroughly loved her family and friends, and will be genuinely missed, especially by those who knew her as "Gam". Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Beardstown. Burial will be at Beardstown City Cemetery. BARREGARYE, Betty Jean - Springfield  
Betty Jean Barregarye SPRINGFIELD, IL - Betty Jean Barregarye died at 2:52 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, on her 86th birthday at Lewis Memorial Christian Village with her son by her side. In her last days, Betty was surrounded by her daughter, grandchildren and close friends. Betty was born July 3, 1929, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of Lynn and Bertha Numrick Rountree, lovingly raised by her mother, Bertha and grandparents, John and Maggie Numrick, all deceased. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Feitshans High School. She married Richard Barregarye on Aug. 29, 1947; he preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2012. Betty was a charter member of Woodside United Methodist Church (now Cotton Hill United Methodist Church) and a member of the chancel choir at Woodside for 20 years. She was a lifetime member of Springfield Ceramics and Crafts Club, Methodist Women, Ruth Circle and Beta Sigma Phi. She served as Queen Mother of Red Hats' – Forever Red group. Betty is survived by her son, Rick (Freida) Barregarye of Deatsville, Ala.; daughter, Cindy (Rick) Coffman of Springfield; six grandchildren: Ryan (Constance) Barregarye of Prattville, Ala., Kelly Barregarye (fiancé, Pete Dorough) of Prattville, Ala., Chad (Diana) Coffman of Houston, Texas, Brenna (Chris) Venvertloh of Brookfield, Ill., Ashleigh (Tim) Brinkman of Chatham, Ill., and Shelby Barregarye of Deatsville, Ala.; six great-grandsons: Russell and Zachary Castleberry, Caleb and Carson Barregarye, all of Prattville, Ala., Cameron Brinkman of Chatham, Ill., and Bennett Venvertloh of Brookfield, Ill.; and one great-granddaughter, Charleigh June Coffman of Houston, Texas. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:30-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Maxine Irma Bogle VANDALIA, IL - Maxine Irma Bogle, 96, of Vandalia, Ill., passed away June 13, 2015. Maxine was born June 4, 1919, to Gertrude Tadlock Goad and Harry Goad. She married Merlin F. Bogle on Dec. 5, 1940, and he preceded her in death in May 1995. They had two children, Joan Wyrick Bogle and James Freeman Bogle. She was preceded in death by husband, Merlin; son, James; and siblings: Vernon Goad, Bernice Goad, Noel Peter Goad, Estalina Pearl Goad, Harry Goad, Jr., Opal Powless, and Norene Sessions. She is survived by daughter, Joan (Gail) Dabbs of Nixa, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Margie Bogle of Flora, Ill.; three granddaughters: Tracy (Jerry) Henry of Nixa, Mo., Amy (Rase) Sherwood of Springfield, Ill., and Lori (Todd) Krueger of Springfield; five great-grandchildren: Joshua Henry, Kaytlin Sherwood, Rase Sherwood, Jr., Isabella Krueger, and Jacob Krueger; and sister, Beulah Rapp.

Dorothy K. Bridges METAMORA, IL - Dorothy K. Bridges, 90, of Metamora, Ill., and formerly of Springfield, Ill., died at 1:03 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born Feb. 10, 1925, in Kankakee, Ill., to Carl W. and Grace M. (Bree) Kunde. She married Ralph E. Bridges on Nov. 26, 1942, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1997. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Leon Kunde and Paul Johnson; and one sister, Merle Daniels. Surviving are a daughter, Ralynne "Lynne" (Wilbur "Bill") Sommer of Metamora; four grandchildren: Joedy (Lori) Wake, Kelly (Rod) Kofoid, Kristy (John) Chapman and Kenneth Wake; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Dorothy was a member of Luther Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked as an account tech for Horace Mann for 16 years, retiring in 1989. Joan M. Burns SPRINGFIELD, IL - Joan M. Burns, 87, of Springfield, died at 2:10 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015, at St. John's Hospice. She was born Nov. 9, 1927, in Bloomington, Ill., to Carl Andrew and Agnes Hursey Harvey. She is survived by three daughters: Julie A. (Philip) Bruns of Indian Trail, N.C., Jill A. Burns, and Kimberly (fiancé, Darrel Moore) Burns, both of Springfield; two grandsons, Kyle Andrew (Leah) Bruns of Mint Hill, N.C., and Joel David (Marlin) Bruns of Indianapolis, Ind.; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Carol (John) Schwandner of Springfield; two brothers, Terry Harvey of Crystal Lake and Carl "C.A." (Jay) Harvey of Carrolton, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother. She was a 1948 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Bloomington and was then employed at St. John's Hospital for 14 years in OB/GYN and 14 years in Adult Day care, retiring in 1992. Joan was a member of St. Agnes Church. She bowled with the St. John's Thursday afternoon league and was a member of St. Al's Round Robin Pinochle Club. She was a member of St. John's Samaritans. She enjoyed fishing and going to flea markets and garage sales. She was also an avid Illini Basketball fan. Also preceding her in death were three brothers: Ray, Vernon and James Moore; and three sisters: Bernice Young, Alice Lucasey, and Mary Roher Surviving are three sons: Michael Cooper of Alabama, Patrick Cooper of Taylorville, and Mark (Angie Zanetello) Cooper of Springfield; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Judy (Sam) Pitt of Springfield, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Jack Roher of Illiopolis; one sister-in-law, Rosie Moore of Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
