Mark "Oaksie" Oaks 1954 - 2016 AUBURN, IL - Mark Oaks "Oaksie", age 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his residence, in Auburn IL on Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was born in Moline, IL to Reverend William and Marilyn Oaks on March 31, 1954. He is proceeded in death by his father. He is survived by wife Lori Oaks of Auburn, daughters Mindy (Kevin) Gade of Rochester, Krista (Edwin) Oaks-Yambo of Springfield, Abigail (Michael) Morgan of St Louis, MO., grandchildren: Tyler, Brett, and Reece Gade, Kalisse and Brenna Oaks, CJ Yambo and Eli Morgan, mother Marilyn Oaks of Sherman, brothers John(Jan) Oaks of Sherman, Fred (Judy) Oaks of Nashotah, WI and sister Sarah Oaks of Chicago, and several nephews and nieces. Mark was an All-City baseball and football player for Springfield High School in 1972. Mark retired from the State of Illinois and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, 501 West Elliott Street, on Sunday, May 22, 2015 at 4:00pm. The family will meet friends from 2:00pm until the time of service Sunday at church. Osborne, James Edward "Ed" - Attica  
James Edward "Ed" Osborne 1956 - 2016 ATTICA, IL - James Edward "Ed" Osborne, 60, of Attica and formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away at on Friday, May 6, 2016. Ed was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on April 2, 1956. He was the son of Frederick E. Osborne and the late Patricia "Trish" A. (Anderson) Osborne. Ed was an ordained Lutheran minister and served in the Lutheran Church in Bluff Springs, IL. He worked as a mental health counselor in Springfield, IL for several years. Friends may gather at the Attica First Lutheran Church , 204 E. Pike St., on Sunday, May 29th, from 2:00 p.m. until the memorial service time at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lafayette Urban Ministry Food Pantry, 600 Ferry St., Lafayette, IN 47901.
