DILELLO Sr., Thomas Joseph - Springfield  
Thomas Joseph DiLello, Sr. SPRINGFIELD, IL - Thomas Joseph DiLello, Sr., 87, of Springfield, passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at St. John's Hospital. Thomas was born June 28, 1927, in Springfield, the son of Joseph and Elena (Esposito) DiLello. Thomas attended Sacred Heart Elementary and was a graduate of Cathedral Boys High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Thomas attended Bradley University, where he played football for a short time. He told everyone, "College was easy; I was in and out in 4 months." For over 40 years, Thomas owned and operated The Office Tavern and then retired from CWLP after 16 years. He was a huge sports fan and his favorite teams were the Cubs, Bulls, Bears, Fighting Illini, Notre Dame, and any team his grandchildren were playing for. Thomas was a loyal friend and a great family man. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Anthony DiLello; and the mother of his children, Geri DiLello. He is survived by his son, Thomas (wife, Debbie) DiLello, Jr., of Springfield; two daughters, Barb (husband, Bob) Smithers of Pleasant Plains and Kari "Mickey" (husband, Kent) Cornelius of Pleasanton, Calif.; seven grandchildren: Bobby (wife, Lanae), Joe (wife, Sierra), and Kayde Smithers, Kacie and Trevor Cornelius, Ali Smithers, and Dominic DiLello; and three great-grandchildren: Elle, Lyla, and Ivy Grace Smithers. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A private family Funeral Mass and burial will be held. Celebration of Life: The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life from 2-6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at the Office Sports Bar & Grill, 1919 W. Iles Ave., Springfield. DODSON, Donna J. - Springfield  
Donna J. Dodson SPRINGFIELD - Donna J. Dodson, 82, died at 3:30 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. Joseph's Home. She was born September 5, 1932, in Springfield. She was the second oldest daughter of the late Emmerson W. and Florence Stufflebeam Hamrick. She married Ernest E. Dodson of Springfield on May 31, 1952, at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Emmerson "Jim" Hamrick, and sister, Phyllis Hamrick. Donna retired from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She enjoyed gardening and attending St. Louis Cardinal Baseball games. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Parish and resided at St. Joseph's Home at the time of her death. Donna is survived by her husband, Ernest; son, David (Michele) Dodson of Springfield; daughters, Deborah Dodson of O'Fallon, Susan Dodson of Springfield, and Judi (Ted) Anderson of Midway, Ga.; her brother, George (Sudy) Hamrick of Springfield; her sister, Blanche Fickas of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4-6 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at Staab Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at St. Joseph's Church with Reverend Steven Janoski officiating. DOGLIO, Clare Orlandi - Springfield  
Clare Orlandi Doglio STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO - Clare Orlandi Doglio was born in Porum, Okla., on March 1, 1932, the daughter of the late Johnnie (nee Briley) and Gus Orlandi. She died peacefully in her sleep on April 17, 2015, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Clare graduated from Kincaid High School in 1950 and went on to Illinois State University where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1954. In 1985, she received a master's in teaching from Olivet University. Clare married her high school sweet heart and the love of her life, Joseph Anton Doglio in 1953. They had three girls and then one more. One of Clare's greatest passions in life was teaching. She started her 21 year teaching career in Camp Lejeune, N.C., where Joe was stationed at the Marine Corps base. While raising her four children, she was a favorite substitute teacher. She taught third grade in the Kankakee School District where she created and implemented with her colleague, Peter Torchia, the Introduction to the Arts magnet program. Always on, she took to the stage performing many different roles in college and in community theatre in Paris, Ill. An active community member, she held leadership positions in the League of Women Voters and the National Organization for Women. She worked tirelessly to create a public health clinic in Kankakee County and for the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Clare retired to Steamboat Springs, Colo., in 1991, skiing every chance she got and travelling extensively. Always the life of the party, she enjoyed people, dancing and a good stiff drink. She was a wonderful cook with a specialty in fine Italian fare. Loving to host guests in her home, her doors were always open. Clare is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Anton Doglio; her sister, Mary Kay Orlandi Jones; brother, Joseph Orlandi; and her four children: Robin Doglio (Ron Lawson), Lynn Doglio (Bill Deal), Allison Doglio and Beth Doglio (Eddy Cates). Molley I. Ellermeyer SPRINGFIELD, IL - Molley I. Ellermeyer, 83, of Springfield, passed away Sunday April 19, 2015, at Heritage Health Care in Springfield. She was born in Athens, IL, on Dec. 15, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Opal (Ferguson) Craig. She married Conrad Ellermeyer and he preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie West and Margaret Hagan, and her brother, Bennie Craig. Molley was a transcriptionist by profession, working at Horace Mann Insurance Co., until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish. Molley was an avid reader, especially of mysteries. She enjoyed her flower gardens; but, above all, enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Mary (Ben) Campbell of Dawson, IL, Joseph (Barb) Ellermeyer of Mauston, WI, and Joann (Ward) Edwards of Springfield; her five grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Houser of Ashland, IL, and Mary Etta (William) Smith of Springfield; three brothers: Clarence (Rosemary) Craig of Pleasant Plans, IL, Larry (Sandy) Craig and Robert (Barb) Craig both of Springfield. Prayer Service and Visitation: A prayer service will begin at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, with visitation following until 6 p.m. Funeral Service: A funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday April 22, 2015, at Bisch and Son Funeral Home with Msgr. David S. James I. "Jim" Fishback Sr. SPRINGFIELD, IL - James I. "Jim" Fishback Sr., 79, of Springfield, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, surrounded by his family at St. John's Hospital. Jim was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Carlinville, Ill., the son of Walter and Ula Mae Pulliam Fishback. He married Patty Kail; she preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, baking, bowling and NASCAR. He was also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Betty Mae Delgado; and sister, Shirley. He is survived by three children: Kelly (Brian) Frakes of Springfield, Jimmie (Michelle) Fishback, of Iowa, and Debbie Fishback of Springfield; two sisters, Betty Jo (Don) Dorworth and Joyce Mulvane; one brother, Tom Ambrose; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Milton F. Fitzgerald III SPRINGFIELD, IL - Milton F. Fitzgerald III was born Aug. 28, 1955, to the union of the late Milton F. Fitzgerald Jr. and Jerwonia (McDougal) Fitzgerald. He transitioned from this earth on April 18, 2015, at his home. Milton received Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Milton F. Fitzgerald Jr.; special father, Curtis Davis; brother, Marlo A. Fitzgerald; sister, Jervenus A. Wheatley; grandfather, James McDougal; and grandparents: Milton and Carrie Fitzgerald Sr., and Rita and Lloyd Adams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Jerwonia Fitzgerald, and one brother, Michael Antonio Fitzgerald. Public viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. on Monday April 27, 2015, at Ruby Funeral Services Chapel, 1520 E. Washington St., Springfield, IL 62703. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Union Baptist Church, 1405 E. Washington St., Springfield, IL 62703. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., with Pastor T. Ray McJunkins officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery following services.
