MT. OLIVE, IL - Ada Lydia Marburger, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at 10:55 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
She was born Feb. 20, 1927, in Walshville Township, Ill., to Frank John and Anna Stamer Prange. She married Harold Edward Marburger on Dec. 3, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, Ill. He preceded her in death.
She attended the Mt. Olive schools and graduated from Mt. Olive High School with the Class of 1945. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive and a longtime Secretary/Treasurer of Mt. Olive Cemetery Association. She worked with her husband, Harold, on the family farm and sold eggs.
Surviving are one son, Ed (Tina) Marburger of Mt. Olive, Ill.; two daughters, Diann (Mike) Harbour of Springfield, Ill., and Mary Ann (John) Hawker of North Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Erhardt Prange of Litchfield, Ill.; five grandsons: Michael Harbour, Brian Hawker, David Marburger, Eric Marburger and Kevin Hawker; and two granddaughters, Jennifer Harbour and Renee Marburger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank John and Anna Stamer Prange; her husband, Harold Edward Marburger; two sons, Allen and Ronald Marburger; one daughter, Linda Satterlee; and one sister, Marian Adden.
Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, 2-6 p.m. at Becker & Son Funeral Home, Mt. Olive.
Funeral Service: Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive; Rev. Ben Fiore officiating.
A lunch for family and friends will be held at the Zion Fellowship Hall following the service by the Zion Ladies.
