Coleen Marie Ishmael
PETERSBURG, IL - Coleen Marie Ishmael, 48, died peacefully at home in Petersburg, surrounded by her loved ones, at 8:12 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2014.
She was born May 20, 1966, in Springfield, to Joseph E. and Mary Catherine McGee Schweska, Sr. Her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Ishmael of Petersburg; a son, Reilly Schweska; a stepson, Ben Ishmael; six sisters: Debbie (John) Ehemann of Milwaukee, Wis., Sally (Randall) Rabbitt of Boca Raton, Fla., Kate (Bob) Trost of Carrollton, Libby (Dan) Fuchs of Olathe, Kan., Barb (Stan) Hardwick of Des Plaines and Marilyn (David) Campbell of Rockford; four brothers: Dan (Lisa) Schweska, Tom (Linda) Schweska and Joe (Gloria) Schweska, all of Springfield, and Mark (Lynn) Schweska of Nashville, Tenn.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Coleen was a member of St. Peter's Church in Petersburg. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She was a homemaker and also had worked for the Springfield Police Dept.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Staab Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at St. Peter's Church in Petersburg, the Rev. James Palakudy officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Illiopolis.
