SPRINGFIELD - Dorman L. Davidson, 88, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at St. John's Hospice.
He was born August 5, 1924 in Barnard, MO, the son of Claude and Nora (Howard) Davidson. He married Beverly A. Masters in 1946 in Atchison, KS.
Dorman was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, serving in WWII. He worked as a truck driver for Mid-America Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, in 2006, and a daughter, Linda Davidson, in 2004.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Judith A. (Larry) Lynch of Gaylesville, AL and Pamela K. (Bob Benedict) Davidson of Springfield; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held there at 10 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2012, with Reverend Kevin Torgerson officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospice.
