Earl F. Bauer

NOKOMIS - Earl F. Bauer, 90, of Nokomis, passed away Tuesday January 22, 2013 at 2:05 a.m. at his residence in Nokomis, IL He was born March 18, 1922 in Lincoln, IL, the son of John C. and Helena (Aeilts) Bauer. He married Betty Wehner on June 15, 1946 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Wapel Bauer American Legion of Nokomis. He was on the Ramsey School Board, was a Sunday School Teacher, and a 4-H Leader. He was on the Soil Conservation Board, and was the State Plowing Champion. He also held several church offices, and was town clerk of Hurricane Township.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, John Earl Bauer (Fiancée Diane Rebbe) of Bingham, IL; daughters, Janet (Dale) Halford of Williamsville, IL and Jolene (Mike) Williams of Sherman, IL; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two half-sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis with Pastor Bert Eichoff officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis.
