Gary L. Goldsby
SPRINGFIELD – Gary L. Goldsby, 63, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Springfield on May 17, 1949, to Scott E. and Virginia (Koehler) Goldsby. He married Wanda L. Hudgins at the Richland Baptist Church in Pleasant Plains on July 20, 1968.
Gary was a US Air Force veteran where he served as a crew chief on an F4 Phantom. He retired from Bunn Capitol and was formerly employed by N.G. Gilbert and Double J Campground. His love was drag racing in Havana. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Scott C. Goldsby.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; sons, Greg (Nicole) Goldsby and Jeff Goldsby both of Springfield; grandchildren, Daniel and Lydia; sister, Marsha Goldsby of Tuscola, TX; brothers, Ed (Eloise) Goldsby of Osage Beach, MO and Jim (Dolly) Goldsby of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Gathering: 10 a.m. until noon, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: Noon, Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Vancil-Murphy Funeral Home with Karen Krieger, SAM officiating. Inurnment will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
