Lois A. Dennison
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Lois A. Dennison, 63, died at 3:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at St. John's Hospice. She was born Jan. 6, 1951, in Springfield, to Charles E. and Bertie "Pat" A. Crim Luckey. She married Charles Leon Dennison on Feb. 18, 1973, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2000.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy (Terrell) Gorens of Springfield and Andrea Dennison of Slidell, La.; one son, Samuel Dennison of Loami; ten grandchildren; four sisters, Pat (Richard) Huddleston of Edinburg, Suzie Edwards of Curran, Lena (Tony) Peecher of Loami and Edna (Terry) Vaughn of Curran; five brothers, Sam (Annette) Luckey of Curran, Dan (Vanessa) Luckey of Springfield, Lou (Nancy) Luckey of Mocksville, N.C., John (Susan) Luckey of Rochester, Ill., and Joe Luckey of Tahlegah, Okla.; one aunt, Barb Moriconi of Chatham; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lois loved spending time with her grandkids and family. She enjoyed dining out and formerly enjoyed painting and bowling.
She retired from the U.S. Post Office, Cook Street Branch, where she worked as a Mail Processor.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at the Curran Township Hall.
