Mildred "Teeny" G. Fleck
RIVERTON, IL - Mildred "Teeny" G. Fleck, 74, died at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014, at her home in Riverton, surrounded by her family, after a long difficult battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born Jan. 16, 1940 in Dawson, Ill., to Richard Roger and Mildred Grace Workman Neale. She married Frederick B. Fleck, Sr. on April 14, 1958, in Ft. Lewis, Wash., and he survives.
Also surviving are three children: Fred (Angela) Fleck, Jr. and Tina (Raymond) Strawkas both of Buffalo, and Falon (Jimmy) Britz of Dawson; six grandchildren: Olivia, Fred III, Colvin, Jimmy IV, Raymond III and Ella; five sisters: Edna Peters of Springfield, June Fuess of Decatur, Sue Hollingworth of Decatur, Ruth Tennyson of Utah and Nancy Sercay of Decatur; two brothers, Richard Neale of Decatur and Robert Neale, whom she raised; his wife, Linda, and their children: Daniella and Vincent Neale of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her parents and one sister, Mary Ann Dash, preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. James Church in Riverton, was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. Teeny enjoyed gambling, charity work, gardening and travelling with her husband.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014, at St. James Church in Riverton.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014, at St. James Church in Riverton with the Rev. Raphael Paul DeMoreno officiating. Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery.
