Ronald D. Reguly

CHANDLER, AZ - Ronald D. Reguly, 70, of Chandler, AZ died peacefully in his sleep on November 9, 2012.

The eldest of 2 children, he was born in St. Louis, MO to Margaret Benson (Evanek) and Ernest Reguly. He received a BA in business management from the University of Missouri in Columbia leading to his career as a certified public accountant.

Ronald was employed for 30 years at the Illinois State Board of Education as the manager of external auditing. Ron was an active member of the community serving in several professional and civic organizations including Democrat precinct committeeman in Menard County, Illinois, and treasurer of the Lake Petersburg Association. He retired in 1998 and shortly thereafter moved to Scottsdale, AZ to care for his mother. Ronald was a man of faith attending the Calvary Lutheran Church in Mesa, AZ and previously serving as Sunday school superintendent of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Illinois. Also, an avid golfer, Ronald currently holds the record for most rounds played at the Dobson Ranch Golf Course, Mesa, AZ. When not golfing or spending time with his loved ones, Ronald enjoyed travel and spent much of his retired years vacationing around the world.

He is survived by his wife Blanca Dougherty, sons Ron (Michelle) and Ryan (Christina), 2 step- daughters Roxana (Craig) Walters and Debbie (Aaron) Sinykin, brother Ernie (Linda) and family, and grand-children Kristi, Alexandra, Andrew, Brayden and Logan.

A memorial service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO, on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00am.
