Sue A. Fickas

SPRINGFIELD - Sue A. Fickas, 48, of Springfield died at 1:16 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at St. John's Hospital. She was born December 10, 1964, in Decatur, Ill., to Raymond and Eva Stephens Fickas. She was preceded in death by her four-legged baby, Simon and best friend, Sherri Moriconi and Sherri's daughter.

Surviving are her parents, Raymond and Eva Fickas; four sisters, Miranda Carlove and Kathy Colonius, both of Springfield, Nancy (Kevin) Hawley of Riverton, and Tina (Steve) Gruendel of Cantrall; a Godson, Keaden Hoyle, of Springfield; and several aunts uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue was a member of Calvary Temple Christian Center. She was known for her gardening and loved being in Florida at her condo and enjoyed riding Harley's. She was her family's Rock and will be missed by all. Sue worked at the Teamsters Local 916 as the secretary.

Visitation: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Dawn Stuemke officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family wants to welcome all bikers to join them in the procession to the cemetery in honor and love for Sue.
