Erin Bauman
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Erin Bauman, 53, died at 7:42 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at her home in Springfield.
Erin was born Nov. 22, 1960, in Charleston, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Ellen McNeely Lesh. She married Jon B. Bauman on Sept. 7, 1985, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield.
Erin was a lifelong member of Christ the King Parish.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Danny Lesh.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Bauman of Springfield; one son, Jon B. Bauman, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters: Molly E., Emily A., and Megan M. Bauman, all of Springfield; mother, Mary Ellen Lesh of Springfield; one sister, Molly (husband, Tom) Rockford of Pleasant Plains; a special niece, Kelly Rockford; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at Christ the King Parish, 1930 Barberry, Springfield. The memorial gathering will begin with a prayer service at 5 p.m.
Concelebrated Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Christ the King Parish, with the Rev. Msgr. David S. Lantz, celebrant and the Rev. Joseph Ring, concelebrant. Private family burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Bauman Education Fund, c/o Carrollton Bank, 2135 Wabash Ave., Springfield, IL 62704.

Mary Ellen and family, So sorry for your loss. Erin had a big smile and a huge heart to match. I remember how she helped and helped us with my Mom before my mom passed and how she could just light up a room when she came to visit and help. She was a very loving caring woman and she will be dearly missed.

There are no words of comfort suitable to heal the feeling of loss. There will always be a "Erin shaped" hole in your heart. Erin and Molly spoke in behalf of someone who couldn't speak for themselves a long time ago, possibly saving someone I love more than my own life and made a difference in my life forever. Dear Family Members,
I met Erin in Junior League many years ago and used to talk to her often at Colony West. I last ran into her about a month ago. She was talking about all of you children.
