Linda Kimberlin Obituary
ARTESIA, NM - Linda Diane Kimberlin, in the presence of her family, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2017.
Diane was born March 9, 1949, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of Glen Edwin Anderson and Viola Marie Gibson Anderson.
Diane graduated from Waverly High School in 1967, and attended Passavant Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1970. She worked as a registered nurse for 46 years and touched many lives.
Diane was married to Cecil Harvey Kimberlin on Dec. 19, 1969, in Jacksonville, Ill. She supported her husband in his pastorate and was a faithful servant of Christ. Diane was deeply loved by her family, her church family, her friends, and her patients. Her grace, compassion, and skill as a nurse and caregiver will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glen Edwin Anderson, and her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil of Artesia, N.M.; daughters, Tina Gibson (husband, Bobby) of Monahans, Texas, and Joan Neeley (husband, Robey) of Odessa, Texas; mother, Marie Anderson of Waverly, Ill.; brothers: Darrell and Ronald Anderson of Waverly, Ill., Lyndel Anderson (wife, Mary) of St. Joseph, Mo., and Harold Anderson (wife, Brenda) of Jacksonville, Ill.; five grandchildren: Ryan and Jessica Hagedorn, Gabriel Valerio, Dakota Fason, and Corwyn Neely; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Waverly First Baptist Church.

Being so out of touch, I just heard the news. I remember how sweet and gentle Diane always was, even in difficult situations. You always felt like you could talk to her about anything and that she would actually listen to you and reply thoughtfully. My thoughts go out to her family, full of sorrow for your loss. Know that she is missed, even when separated by a couple thousand miles and a couple of decades.
