Barbara J. Anders
SPRINGFIELD - Barbara Jean Anders, 81, died at St. John's Hospice at 10:30 am Sunday, July 15, 2012. She was born November 27, 1930 in Springfield, Illinois to Charles and Bessie (Esslinger) Boehner and they preceded her in death.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Harvey Anders, two daughters Dawn (Gary) Dodd, Jody Martinie both of Springfield, six sons, John (Vicki) Barnard of St. Charles MO, James (Joyce) Barnard, Stephen Anders, Michael (Marcia) Barnard, Jay (Janice) Barnard, all of Springfield, and Gerald (Nancy) Barnard of Chesapeake, VA, seventeen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, two sisters Tressie (Frank) Ferguson and Bessie Boehner both of Springfield, one brother George (Bobbie) Boehner of Ashland, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara was a member of Elm Street Christian Church and volunteered at the Lewis Memorial Christian Village.
Visitation: 9:30-11:30 am Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Elm Street Christian Church.
Funeral Service: 11:30 am Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Elm Street Christian Church with Pastor Paul Cox officiating.
Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
