Carolyn Ann (Stoutamyer) Bramlet
SPRINGFIELD - Carolyn Ann (Stoutamyer) Bramlet, 77, of Springfield, Ill., died at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at St. John's Hospice.
She was born June 6, 1935, in Springfield, Ill., to Lyn and Frances Adelman Bramlet. Her parents; sister, Helen Helms; two nephews, Daniel Bramlet and Mark Schnirring; one brother-in-law, Tom Schnirring; and one sister-in-law, Rita Bramlet, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Harry "Hank" Stoutamyer, Jr., of Springfield, Lyn Stoutamyer of Rural Christian County and Nick (Shaun) Stoutamyer of Springfield; five grandchildren, Anthony, Lyndsey, Halee, Ashlee and Kylee; two sisters, Mary Schnirring of Springfield and Barbara Pescitelli of Kansas; one brother, Bob Bramlet of Springfield; one brother-in-law, Gene Helms of Springfield and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carolyn was an active member of St. Joseph's Church where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister. She retired after 16 years of service as a paralegal from the State of Illinois Legislative Reference Bureau. She graduated from Ursuline Academy. Carolyn loved drawing, playing Bingo, traveling to Casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Joseph's Church with Monsignor Thomas Holinga officiating.
Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church or Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation.
