Craig D. Robb, Sr.

SPRINGFIELD - Craig D. Robb, Sr., 62, of Springfield, passed away at 7:25 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.

Craig was born February 28, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Emmett Thomas and Mildred Maxine Harlow Robb, Jr.

Craig was a 1968 graduate of Springfield High School where he played football. Upon completion of his Associate's Degree from Robert Morris he began working as a Data Processing Administrative Specialist for the State of IL CMS. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and Fighting Illini fan, and adored his two St. Bernard dogs, Bruno and Hans. He also enjoyed trap shooting, traveling, boating, golfing, bowling, and pickleball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal grandparents, Golda and Jessie Harlow.

He is survived by his three children, Craig (wife, Helen) Robb, Jr. of Byron, GA, Brian Robb of Salt Lake City, UT, and Christeann "Chrissy" (Fiance', Patrick Drummond) Robb of Springfield; step-granddaugh-ter, Jessica Drummond of Lake Jackson, TX; brother, Brent (wife, Susan) Robb of Clayton, GA; nephew, Brandon Robb of Clayton, GA; and many cousins.

Cremation will be accorded prior to ceremonies by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Memorial Ceremony: 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. David Nicholson officiating.

Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends following ceremonies until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU, P.O. Box 19666, Springfield, IL 62794-9666.
