Eleanor A. Baker

SPRINGFIELD - Eleanor A. Baker, 94, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on July 3, 1917 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Jurgens) Kutscher. She married Albert C. Baker in January 3, 1935 in Springfield, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1987.

Mrs. Baker was co-owner/secretary of Baker Plumbing and Heating, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Flower City Chapter 152 Order of the Eastern Star, the Lake Press Club, and the Elks Auxiliary. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She is survived by a daughter Marilyn (husband Don) Dellert and a son Rick (wife Brenda) Baker, both of Springfield, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Harry Kutscher and a sister Edith Wilson.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 9:30 am until time of the funeral service at 11:30 am. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Greg Busboom. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
