When Orville returned from the Army, Eunice joined him in farming. They spent 40 wonderful years as part of the Bellflower community, before moving to Bloomington. Eunice was a devoted wife and mother, and she never lost her love of nursing. When her daughter graduated from high school, Eunice commuted 60 miles a day from the farm to work the evening shift at Mennonite Hospital. She completed 20 years before retiring to care for Orville in his later years. Eunice moved to Springfield, Ill., and spent her later years in residence at Montvale Estates and Oak Terrace Healthcare Center. Eunice was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church.
