Jean Ann Hoag 1926 - 2018
Springfield, IL—Jean Ann Davis Hoag, 91, of Springfield, Illinois passed away at 4:23 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at her home.
Jean was born December 17, 1926 in Kirksville, MO to Dr. Elmer Leon and Mrs. Mabel Susan (Camp) Davis. She married Bill Hoag on December 26, 1948 in Macomb; he preceded her in death in 2014.
Jean was also preceded in death by her parents and infant twin grandsons.
She is survived by daughter, Susan of Springfield; son, Michael and his wife, Becky, of Batavia, IL; grandchildren, Matthew Hoag of Elgin, IL, and Shannon Hoag Hamman and her husband, Kyle Hamman; and great-grandsons, Elijah Lee Hamman and Phineas Benjamin Hamman, all of Chicago, IL. Also surviving is her brother, Dr. Jack Davis, and his wife Jean, of Hamilton, IL.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Gathering and Memorial Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A Memorial Ceremony will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
