John "Jack" "Gibby" Gibbons

Jack was born November 26, 1943, in a cab outside St. John's Hospital, the son of Gilliam G. and Daisey Lea Morris Gibbons. He married Pam Juraska on October 22, 2001.
He was raised in Rochester and Southern View. He was a Deacon at Abundant Faith, a Boy Scout Leader, a member of Carlock Masonic Lodge in Mechanicsburg and a jack-of-all trades. He never knew a strang-er and he could spin a tale. He spent 16 years as a Trustee in Jerome, as both Street and Police Commissioner, as well as serving 2 years as Police Commissioner in Southern View.
Jack "Gibby" was known as the donut man because of his business, Gibby's Orbits, which he started in 1985. He loved the concession business and was a natural. Though he spent most of his life as parts manager for Roland Machinery, Case and Habitat for Humanity he eventually semi-retired to work his concession business full-time with his wife. He did that until 2010 when he then sold the business and retired.
He loved life, loved Jesus, his church and especially his family and friends. He will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Pam of Springfield; five children: Tracy (Duane) Marsteller of Mount Juliet, TN, John "Jack" (Wanda) Gibbons Jr., of Springfield, Russell (Laura) Gibbons of Bloomington, Greg (Gina) White of Boise, ID, and Chris (April) White of Boise, ID; mother-in-law, Twila Juraska of Springfield; three brothers: Melvin Lore, Robert "Bob" (Cheri) Gibbons and Carl (Becky) Gibbons; two sisters, Sally Ellis and Paula Baker; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
