SPRINGFIELD, IL - Judith Relford, 76, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at her home.
Judith was born Aug. 9, 1936, in St. Louis, the daughter of Kenneth and Wilma Gaddy-Grubb.
Judith worked as a social worker for the State of Illinois for almost 40 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She loved her dogs (Nike, Nifty and Chloe), traveling, camping and gardening. Judy was the happiest when she was helping others and giving back.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Teresa Jines.
She is survived by one son, Robin Dicken of Springfield; one grandson, Zachary (wife, Kelly) Dicken of Chicago; two sisters, Edith Luddeke of Girard and Elaine Grover of Rolla, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life ceremony at First United Methodist in Springfield, Ill., on Sept. 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m.
