HAVANA - Linda Marie Curless, 46, of Havana, passed away at her home at 6:55 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2013. She was born November 12, 1966, in Havana to William and Eleanor (Yetter) Wendt. She married Jack Curless on November 7, 1992 in Havana.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jack, and daughter, Morgan Curless, both of Havana, as well as one brother, David Wendt, of Keokuk, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Linda was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana. She graduated from Havana High School in 1984 and graduated from Illinois State University, where she was a recipient of a full ride Division I scholarship for softball. Linda completed her bachelor's degree at ISU and pursued a career as a Registered Dietitian. She worked at Graham Hospital in Canton as Food Service Director, Dietitian and Nutritionist. She enjoyed playing and coaching softball for many years.
Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Sunday, September 29, 2013, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 30, 2013, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
A funeral luncheon will be held at the VFW #6408 in Havana following the service.
